 FC Internazionale Milano are through to the UEFA Champions League knockout rounds after second-half strikes by Julio Cruz, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Luis Antonio Jiménez that humiliated Fenerbahçe SK, 3-0.

Fenerbahce was close to the 4th round of UEFA Cup 2006/07, but idiots can't hold on two goals advantage and eliminated by late goals came in second half, which made it 2-2.

In 2001/02 two Istanbul clubs participated in European Champions League. Galatasaray easily advanced to the next round with 11 points in Group D. However, Fenerbahce in Group F after 6 matches, eliminated without gaining a single point. 
This meant Fenerbahçe became the second team in european history after FC Košice (during the 1997 campaign), to be eliminated from the first group stage of the competition without gaining a single point.

 In Turkey, you can always overhear gossips about mysterious people effecting the result of soccer games, with offering money to the players or referees. Especially, about Fenerbahce.
But this time, one guy named Cihan Oskay, show up in national tv and explained every detail about the Chicanery that ended up with Fenerbahce's winning Turkish title in 2001.
The claims were based on written evidence and recorded phone calls. However Turkish Football Federation Law Committee decided that there is no legal action can be taken. That was because of the legal rule which says, "Chicanery claims can only be investigated within 2 years after the season in question."
Federation, by the way, removed this time limitation. However this will effect situations happened after change. So Fenerbahce get away from punishment of relegation, one like Juventus experienced in Italy.

 Mustafa Kemal Ataturk (1881 – 1938), the founder of the Republic of Turkey, is unfortunately used for propaganda nowadays, by Fenerbahce Club. There is an effort for creating common belief that he was a Fenerbahce supporter, which is a baseless lie. He wasn't a member, nor supporter of any sports club. Also he once declared that, "I have no support to one club, more than others. Because every club in Republic of Turkey, belongs to me."

 It was April 5, 1996 when Galatasaray had just beaten deadly rivals Fenerbahce in the Turkish Cup Final. The match was being played at Fenerbahce's Sukru Saracoglu ground, and after clinching victory Souness marched into the centre circle and implanted a huge Galatasaray flag into the turf.
